As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be joining a specialist precision engineering business where quality is embedded in every step of production. As a Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
Inspecting both in-house and externally manufactured components for compliance
Using manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, shadow graphs, etc.)
Identifying non-conformance and supporting the quality team in root cause investigations
Promoting quality across the shop floor, working collaboratively to uphold high standards
Supporting FAIRs, NCRs and related documentation in line with customer and industry standards
As a Quality Inspector, your skills and experience will include:
Engineering background with relevant qualifications or hands-on shop floor experience
Strong understanding of technical drawings, tolerances and quality control principles
Confident with a wide range of manual measuring equipment
Good numerical, IT and communication skills
A proactive, team-focused attitude and keen attention to detail
Desirable but not essential:
Experience working within Aerospace or Defence industries
Familiarity with AS9102 FAIRs, NCRs, and BS EN9100 standards
Knowledge of CMM (Mitutoyo Crysta Apex) and/or Hexagon Absolute Arm 3D scanning
