Felmores Medical Centre has an opportunity for an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to work across their two sites in Basildon. This position can be offered on a full or part-time basis, Monday to Friday with the successful post-holder working collaboratively with the general practice teams to meet the needs of the patients. The successful candidate may come from a range of professional backgrounds. As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to master’s level, they will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients. The post-holder will: provide care for presenting patient, from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers. be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area. have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues. Qualifications, skills and experience required: Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC or GPhC. Post-graduate qualification in specific speciality, or equivalent experience. S1 experienced preferred. Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice. Advanced clinical assessment skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations. Sound clinical reasoning & decision making. Flexibility. Ability to inspire and lead a team.
