About This Role
Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11-16 year old students. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic cleaner to work 12 hours per week during term time + 4 weeks during school holidays. Working hours will be 3.30pm - 6pm Monday to Thursday and 3.30pm - 5.30pm on Fridays.
Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Senior Cleaner and Finance Director, you will be responsible for cleaning designated areas within the academy, individually or as part of a team, to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. This may include the following tasks:
1. Mopping
2. Sweeping
3. Vacuuming
4. Buffing
5. Polishing and dusting
6. Emptying litter bins.
You will need to provide an outstanding service and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times. You will also have an awareness of health and safety responsibilities and an eagerness to gain experience and to participate in staff training as and when required. The successful candidate must have proven good attendance and punctuality.
