This role is situated on the Cirencester Town FC site and will support the Arena, Football Club and Little Centurions Soft Play. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our team with the day-to-day financial operations of the 3 businesses. Due to the support required across the businesses, we are looking for a candidate with a strong background in accounting, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. The role is currently managed by our team within a separate business and full training/handover will be provided to the successful candidate. The role will be 20 hours per week. Initially, we will require the successful candidate to work from an office on-site to partner closely with the businesses, and following the end of their probation period, we can discuss hybrid working.
As a Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for:
* Collating any receipts, invoices and PoS reports
* Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and VAT returns
* Supporting and maintaining relationships with our external clients/suppliers
* Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
* Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
* Developing monthly/quarterly financial accounts including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
* Reconcile bank and control accounts
* Managing expense claims
* Preparation and submission of end-to-end payroll and monthly pension upload
* Providing timely and accurate financial information for decision-making purposes
* Supporting the Finance Director with yearly accounts
* Ad hoc project work
Required skills and experience:
* Use of Sage or similar accountancy software an advantage
* AAT, ACCA, ACA or qualified by experience
* A solid understanding of bookkeeping and payroll
* Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
* A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Data entry
* An ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
