Nterpret and apply information from NHS Employers, HMRC and NHS Pensions whilst adhering to Trust policy and procedure. Authorise calculations for Pension Benefits Process statutory and non-statutory deductions as required by local and national demands. Process documentation for pay related changes and events Perform required processing and calculations for employee absence Responsible for ensuring overpayments are calculated and recovery arrangments implemented Check and verify accuracy of payroll output in line with department procedures. Ensure that monthly payroll reports are checked and errors investigated Run processes pertaining to production of ESR weekly payroll Support with monthly ESR payroll processing Authorise and balance calculations for interim payments and recovery in ESR Identify returned BACS and process redirections Responsible for the day to day supervision of Payroll and Pension Administrators and Assistants including training, appraisals and return to work absence interviews.
