Job summary
Sirona care and health has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Safeguarding Administrator to join our Safeguarding team.
The successful applicate will be part of the wider safeguarding admin team working in other safeguarding Single point of access team (SPA)/ Multiagency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH) and locality safeguarding team as the need arises ,providing an essential administrative support to the whole Safeguarding team to carry out these duties.
These post with be predominately supporting the SPA admin functions alongside the specialist safeguarding nurses and supported by the senior admin and admin manager. The post will also include providingthe wider day to day admin function of MARAC, MASH, multiagency meetings, audits, reports and case reviews as needed.
These post are currently based at the Kingswood Civic Centre subject to move to our new headquarters in Yate. There is an expectation for the successful candidates to work in base and at time virtually. To be discussed in more detail at interview.

Main duties of the job
As a safeguarding administrator you will be key to the day-to-day functioning of the SPA team whilst also being available to work within other safeguarding workstreams of MASH and locality work. You will have a role to report to and support the Senior safeguarding admin and Safeguarding manager by ensuring data is accurately recorded and inputted.
Working alongside Safeguarding nurses and Community Paediatricians. You will support the nurses with information requests, collecting, collating information and recording data to enable the smooth running of information flows in and out of SPA/MASH.

Experience
Essential
1. oExperience of using Microsoft Word (create and format documents, mail merge), Microsoft Excel (create and format spreadsheets, simple formulae). Ebases such as EMIS (enter data, run simple reports) and producing reports/charts.
2. oExperience of using/editing power-point presentations.
3. oApproximately 2 years' experience of working effectively as part of an administrative team.
4. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. oExperience of supervising or checking the quality of the work of others. Attention to Detail.
6. oExperience of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
7. oIntermediate level of IT skills (broadly equivalent to NVQ3, ECDL Extra, or RSA2/3).
8. oPolite telephone manner and demonstrable evidence of meeting high standards of customer service and targets/performance indicators.
9. oTime Management/Prioritisation and organisation skills.
10. oNVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent administrative qualifications or study, and a willingness to undertake appropriate administrative training where appropriate.
11. oModerate typing speed (approx. 40 - 50 words per minute). Some posts will require the ability to undertaking audio typing at this speed.
12. oAbility to be flexible to meet the needs of the service (, occasional adjustment of working hours to deal with an emergency or help manage an unusually high workload).
13. oAbility to demonstrate emotional resilience to cope with the emotional demands of the role.
14. oAbility to travel across all safeguarding localities.
15. oGood general education to GCSE level or equivalent - to include a C (4) Grade in English and Mathematics.

16. oExperience in a similar work environment or service is desirable.
17. oKnowledge of child protection administrative work including domestic abuse and MARAC as it relates to health would be advantageous for this post
18. oPrevious experience of producing legal reports / statements desirable.
