IT Support Specialist

Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience

Careers Plus are delighted to be working with a well-established managed service provider based in the Northeast of England who is looking to hire an IT Support Specialist. This is a great opportunity to join an employee-owned company which have supported local businesses for over 20 years and have no chance of slowing down.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Diagnose and resolve technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including printers and scanners.
* Assist in managing and troubleshooting network issues, including LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation of technical issues and their resolutions for future reference.
* Assist in onboarding and training new employees on IT systems and best practices.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
* Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, experience with network administration, and familiarity with cloud-based services such as Azure and AWS.
* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus.
