One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for a Community Mission Developer to join our team at Ebbsfleet Garden City Fresh Expression in Kent. We aim to provide safe spaces where people can experience authentic, loving Christian community, and the Community Mission Developer will play a pivotal role in facilitating this.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Pioneer Community Leader with the development and delivery of the Fresh Expression’s spiritual and missional programme.
* Facilitate people’s Christian discipleship.
* Provide a safe, well presented and welcoming environment for all members of the community (ensuring equality of opportunity for all) where they can engage with community activities and receive support with a wide range of practical and spiritual needs.
* Support with recruitment and deployment of volunteers.
* Fulfil any relevant administration processes.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* A commitment to the Christian Faith and to following Jesus in your everyday life.
* A desire to encourage and support others in their faith journey.
* Previous experience of developing and managing church programmes including those for children and young people.
* The ability to manage your own workload and meet objectives.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, actively involved with your own Church and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
