OLG Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Control Systems Technician to work for a client based in Immingham. This is a contract position on a 12-month rolling contract. Working hours will be 08:00 16:00, with the potential to work core hours between 09:00 and 16:00 or a flexi Friday which would be 08:00 17:00 Monday Thursday, 1 st Friday 08:00 15:30 and 2 nd Friday off. Job Function: A member of the Industrial Information Systems team, reporting directly to the Head of Industrial Information Systems and responsible for the delivery of maintenance activities associated with industrial control systems. Responsible for: Promotes safe working practices by complying with Refinery safety requirements and procedures, participation/assisting in Accident/Incident report investigations, create risk assessments and conduct workplace safety audits, completing assigned agreed corrective actions and preventative activities in a timely manner. Assist Business Teams and Direct Support in the preparation, proposal and review of maintenance plans for areas of responsibility. Ensuring activities are executed within budgetary constraints. Completing corrective actions on time to required quality in line with MyCompliance Incident Report. Provide technical support for control systems to the Operations, C&P Technicians, Analyser Technicians and maintenance contractors. Acts as mentor for apprentices. Maintain the safe operation, backups and recovery of all Operational Technology (OT) on the refinery including DCS and PLC systems. Maintain the workload for all OT systems, including maintenance and projects. As required for by work activities, raises permits, notifications, spare reservations, work orders and purchase requisitions within CMMS. Contributes to the CMMS close out and BOM creations by making sure appropriate history is recorded. Scopes/prepares modifications under site Management of Change (MOC), proposing improvements for re-occurring maintenance problems for process control systems. Maintain safeguarding of refinery assets and operations through Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), adhering to IEC61508/IEC61511. Assists with spare part identification, selection, repairable spares control and return to storage. Support cybersecurity requirements for industrial networking, adhering to IEC62443. Consulting with manufacturers for technical guidance, lead/assist OEM's and vendors whilst working on site. Participates in the T&I / Shutdown work scope preparation and implementation to ensure asset lifecycle and long-term process unit reliability. Provides Out of hours cover as required. Managing T&I work scope preparation including work scope, work list, scheduling for operational technology to ensure asset lifecycle and long-term system reliability. Qualifications Minimum requirement ONC / OND in a relevant engineering discipline. HNC / HND in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable. 5yrs working in IIS or C&P discipline with experience of refinery industrial process control and information systems equipment. Some understanding of networking and cyber security issues affecting operation technology installations is desirable.
