An outstanding opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing Engineering Company based in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for assisting the Team with design and development outputs, reviewing design and development input requirements, providing technical input at meetings, liaising with clients, and much more.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Team with design and development outputs including all relevant documentation for design and development.
2. Review design and development input requirements with design and engineering staff.
3. Provide technical input at technical design meetings.
4. Liaise with clients regarding technical product design requirements, as and when required.
5. Organise and review production test requirements with external suppliers, as necessary.
6. Undertake design and development verification and validation activities.
7. Prepare or review engineering change requests.
8. Perform essential 'Day to Day' Operations within department including checking & approval cycles.
9. Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
10. Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses to your immediate supervisor.
11. Maintain good housekeeping in your work area.
12. Complete any necessary training as per job function requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Degree/Qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Previous exposure to Completions Equipment within the Oil & Gas Industry.
Knowledge:
1. A minimum of 5 years, working in a similar role within the industry.
2. Demonstrable design software knowledge (preferably SolidWorks).
3. Previous Casing/Cementation design knowledge would be advantageous.
4. Working knowledge of MS Office 365 Apps (Word, Excel, etc.).
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
