Person Specification
Qualifications
* oRegistered health care practitioner with current registration
* oEducated to degree level in related health care subject or equivalent
* oJAG approved endoscopist or demonstrable key performance indicators
* oKnowledge of lower and upper gastrointestinal and colorectal disease
* oEssential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent competence
* oEvidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* oEvidence of Masters level study
* oIndependent non-medical prescriber
Experience
* oExpert in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy techniques for both upper and lower GI
* oExperience of managing own caseload of patients
* oTeaching, mentoring and assessment
* oImplementing policy, SOPs and operational processes
* oCommitted to quality assurance and delivering continued service improvement
* oExperience of clinical audit and research practice
* oExperience of local Trust systems, e.g. PAS Silverlink
Knowledge
* oEvidence of the acquisition of relevant skills associated with the role that meet with the JAG guideline requirements
* oKnowledge of Booking and Choice national framework and polices
* oExpert knowledge and awareness of upper and lower GI cancers and treatment
* oKnowledge of the NHS constitutional standards for cancer and routine pathways
* oKnowledge and experience to work as an autonomous clinical practitioner, with self-management of own caseload of patients.
