Electrical Site Engineer
Location: Clyde
Rate: £25-35 per hour negotiable depending on experience

S & D Trade Recruitment are working exclusively with an MOD Contractor to supply an Electrical Site Engineer on an exciting two-year project. The Electrical Site Engineers will be working on a Logistics Programme.
Job Description
Be the site representative for removal and installation of company assets, including electrical and mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover to client.
1. Site representative for removal and installation of company assets from different locations in Southern England and Scotland.
2. Responsible for overseeing packing and preservation of assets following removal and monitoring unloading and unpacking at final destination.
3. Asset location in line with drawings.
4. Asset positioning in line with drawings.
5. Mechanical and electrical fit out and cabling to provide services to assets in line with drawings and 18th edition regulations.
6. Testing of all circuits in line with drawings and 18th edition regulations.
7. Pre-commissioning activities.
8. Commissioning activities, FAT with client representative.
9. Final handover.
Person Specification
1. A keen eye for detail.
2. Ability to work unsupervised when necessary.
3. Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative.
4. Must have good work and team working ethic.
5. Flexibility - shift working and overtime may be required.
6. Interest in working at customer sites in the UK, Europe, and Worldwide locations.
7. Ability to problem solve on the job and communicate to others if no resolution can be found.
8. Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service.
9. Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Maintain a good standard of housekeeping at all times.
Skills and Experience
1. Good understanding of Solidworks, Autocad GA and schematic drawings.
2. Industrial wiring installation background.
3. Control wiring and industrial style cabling.
4. Mechanical knowledge on cable trays and ladder racks installation.
5. Fault finding and resolution of issues where applicable.
Qualifications
1. Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or experience to equivalent depth.
2. Completed a City and Guilds qualification or equivalent.
3. 18th Edition trained.
