New Directions are seeking a SEND Teacher to work in one of our SEND Schools based in Liverpool who are seeking a passionate, highly qualified and resilient Teacher, with a strong background in Teaching children with SEMH needs who also has a deep understanding of (SEND) special educational needs and is committed to making a positive impact. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusive team and make a positive impact on our students' learning journeys.
As a SEND Teacher, you'll be expected to:
* To plan, implement and deliver tailored educational lessons to support the curriculum area of each student appropriately.
* Work closely with the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and or form tutor.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best possible support for SEND students.
* To facilitate and encourage a positive learning experience, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
* To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for the personal and academic development of children and young people.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, counsellors, support staff and social workers to provide holistic support.
* Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
To apply for this SEND Teacher role you must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience in supporting students with autism, ADHD, or other specific learning difficulties.
* Knowledge of the Teaching in a SEND setting.
* Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation and best practices.
* Able to provide Referees.
* An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
