Reports to: Cafe Manager
Summary/objective
The cafe grill cook is responsible for performing all cafe duties including food prep and service, inventory, stocking and cleaning.
Essential functions

1. Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.
2. Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.
3. Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
4. Preventing cross-contamination.
5. Preparing meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.
6. Tracking the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.
7. Ensuring that your workstation remains clean and orderly at all times.
8. Informing the Manager when items are running low or are out of stock.
9. Tracking inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.
Requirements
Physical demands
1. Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift.
2. Ability to reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion.
3. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
4. Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required competencies, education, and experience
1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. Prior customer service experience highly desired.
3. Prior experience handling payments and cash registers.
4. ServSafe certification preferred.
5. Superior customer service skills.
6. Ability to work well and effectively as part of a team.
7. Ability to safely operate café appliances/equipment outlined above.
8. Must be at least 18 years old.
