Job Summary:
We seek a skilled Mobile Mechanical Engineer to focus on mechanical maintenance across diverse plant, equipment, and building services. If you have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, experience in maintenance, and a knack for troubleshooting, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and manage risks related to mechanical equipment on site, including updating documentation, identifying critical spare parts, and enhancing equipment performance.
Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on various machinery, including mechanical systems and hydraulic components.
Provide mechanical expertise to the maintenance team, working with heavy industrial machinery and overhead cranes.
Develop and adhere to risk assessments and method statements to maintain a safe working environment.
Utilize mobile devices to project and complete maintenance tasks via the CAFM system efficiently.
Collaborate with onsite services to address building services-related challenges.
Step in for the shift leader during their absence due to annual leave or illness.
Be available for overtime, including nights and weekends, as needed.Requirements:
Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance, with a focus on mechanical systems.
Strong mechanical competencies, including experience with heavy machinery and systems.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues effectively.
NVQ qualifications to Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience supervising contractors and developing risk and method statements.Desirable:
Working at height qualification.
IPAF certification.
AP qualifications.
