Our client a major contractor are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a £80 million laboratory project located in Central London. As Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving this exciting project to successful completion, ensuring it meets both client expectations and regulatory requirements. Role Overview: As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and execution of the project. Your role will encompass everything from early-stage planning and coordination through to the delivery of the project within scope, time, and budget. You will work closely with architects, engineers, sub-contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver the laboratory facility to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the £80 million laboratory project, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to quality specifications. Oversee project schedules, budgets, contracts, and procurement processes to ensure smooth operation and adherence to project timelines. Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities to manage expectations and ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards. Implement and monitor risk management strategies, identifying potential issues and mitigating risks proactively. Ensure that all project documentation is maintained, up to date, and in line with company and legal standards. Manage project teams, providing leadership and direction to ensure all parties work collaboratively toward a common goal. Regularly report on project progress, performance, and financial status to senior stakeholders. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction or laboratory sector, ideally with experience in large-scale, high-budget projects (£50M). Strong understanding of laboratory design, construction, and fit-out requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders effectively. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Strong project management tools knowledge and ability to manage detailed project schedules and budgets.
