Senior Electrical Engineer - FM Service Provider – Oxford
Manufacturing Environment - Up to £50,000
Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service provider situated in Oxford. CBW is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to be based in a Manufacturing Environment.
This role includes managing various electrical safety checks, the Fixed Wire Testing programme, and all associated LV/HV planned and reactive maintenance, plus any project works. The successful candidate will report to the site Contract Manager and take full responsibility for the electrical technical framework and appointments across the plant.
You will manage several specialist electrical contractors and liaise with the client to arrange associated maintenance outage windows. As the subject matter expert across the plant, you will support the operational delivery and development of the engineering team. You must work to high levels of health and safety, understand and comply with building statutory requirements, and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work
2. Maintain a close liaison and working relationship with the Client/Tenants
3. Carry out hands-on M&E/Fabric maintenance
4. Ensure that daily tours are completed and repair or report any defects found via the Landlord/Tenant helpdesk
5. Comply with both statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies
6. Control specialist contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable
7. Take responsibility for escalating critical incidents and producing and submitting incident reports within prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Contract Manager
8. Understand M&E systems including Building Management Systems, electrical monitoring, control systems, air handling, conditioning and terminal units, domestic water services, fire prevention and detection systems, fire alarms, VESDA, fire suppression, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting
9. Ensure that plant areas, workshops, stores, and changing/rest areas are kept to the highest level of housekeeping
10. Attend client meetings
11. Assist with monthly reports
Requirements
1. Electrically qualified
2. Leadership experience
3. C&G / NVQ Level 2 & 3
4. C&G 18th Edition
5. Ability to provide copies of your trade certificates
6. A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of staff and clients
8. Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
9. Offer technical support to the Contract Manager, client, and on-site maintenance team
