Job Description As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the college's premises are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming. You will be responsible for general maintenance, security, and assisting with college events. This role requires flexibility, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and general upkeep of college buildings and grounds. Ensure the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking buildings as required. Assist with setting up rooms for meetings, lectures, and events. Monitor and report any health and safety issues or required repairs to the facilities manager. Maintain cleanliness in designated areas and oversee waste disposal. Respond to any urgent maintenance or security issues promptly. Assist contractors and external maintenance teams when required. Requirements Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or maintenance role preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general repairs. Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual work and lifting. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
