Please include a cover letter with your application Job Purpose/Overview The core purpose of the role is to lead, manage, plan, implement, and report on a Human Performance programme of work that supports Operations Training and the End-to-End Training Improvement programme. Reporting to and tasked in liaison with the Human Performance team, this role will be embedded within Operations Training, the post holder will be accountable for ensuring each project under the programme is delivered to time, cost, quality, scope whilst balancing resource constraints and stakeholder needs. The post will build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and work closely with other HP Lead Practitioners, Operations Training staff and external peers to drive strategic changes and benefits to the delivery of Human Performance and joint work across the business. The post holder will oversee the various projects under their programme and will support projects leads in delivering technical work and lead projects as required. Other Duties Include: Leads a multi-disciplinary programme team, ensuring team members understand how the allocated work contributes to overall objectives and are kept informed of wider developments. Together with the Human Factors & Wellbeing and Operations Training Leadership Teams, manage stakeholders across the business to help them understand and express their needs, identify opportunities for collaboration, and develop a Human Performance Portfolio of work. Lead the programme of work to define the psychological requirements of new recruits and trainees now and in the future. Work with relevant stakeholders in Operations Training, HR and across NATS to influence and shape current and future processes. Providing high level analysis and understanding of training performance issues: Understand how and when, wider training teams across the College and Units can identify training issues and recommend non-technical human performance solutions. Provide advice and solutions to upskill Instructors across the College and Units in adapting their approaches to take account of individual training needs and personalities. Essential Skills and Experience: Educated to relevant degree level (i.e. Psychology, Education) Significant work experience in Human Performance or training and development Chartership from a recognised institute within the Human Factors disciplines such as the Chartered Institute of Human Factors and Ergonomics (CIEHF), the British Psychology Society, or similar; or able to demonstrate equivalence through experience. Proven ability to work autonomously and influence change within multidisciplinary teams. Proven ability to lead projects and project teams to deliver benefit-led solutions within agreed time, cost & quality.
