Job Description
1. Preparation and presentation of financial reports.
2. Responsible for the line management of Finance Officers.
3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Assist with internal and external audits ensuring that timely and accurate information is provided.
5. Manage financial systems and procedures.
6. Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the Group VAT return and submission to HMRC.
7. Participate in strategic planning and decision making.
8. Posting and/or review of all non-transactional journals to the company accounting systems, including monthly accruals, prepayments and intercompany.
9. Provide personal leadership for the team promoting the company values, continuous improvement, collaboration and excellent customer service.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
1. CCAB qualification (ICAEW / ACCA / CIPFA / ICAS), with post qualification experience.
2. Line management experience.
3. Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and regulations.
4. Knowledge of Social Housing, its regulatory environment and Housing finance.
5. Experience in financial systems and procedures management.
6. Great interpersonal and communication skills.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving.
What's on Offer
1. Salary range of £55,000 - £60,000.
2. Defined Contribution pension scheme with employer contribution of 6% - 9%.
3. Discretionary Bonus scheme.
