Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm including 1x 5pm finish

We are recruiting for a Head of School to join our team at New Barn School located in Newbury!
Job Purpose
The Head of School will provide effective leadership and management of the school that ensures it meets its aims and objectives and operates within the overall strategy and guidelines of Acorn Care and Education. Key objectives include:
* Outstanding outcomes for Pupils and Young People that reflect their needs, abilities and aptitudes.
* A safe environment that protects the welfare of Pupils and Young People and staff.
* Meeting all statutory requirements as defined by the DfE, Ofsted and other external bodies.
* A motivated staff group committed to achieving excellence and personal development.
* The commercial success of the school defined by 100% occupancy and effective cost management.
* Effective strategic and operational planning, including self-evaluation and school improvement.
* A shared vision that inspires and motivates students, staff and the school community.
Key Accountabilities
* Admit Pupils and Young People, assess their academic and personal development, and implement programs to help them achieve their full potential.
* Lead on the delivery of outcomes for C&YP and manage all staff, including volunteers and contract staff.
* Develop, apply and review elements that contribute to outstanding pupil outcomes in conjunction with the Acorn Group Education.
* Ensure the curriculum is engaging and relevant to the needs of C&YP.
