A London based Managing General Agent (MGA) is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join its Accounts department. Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will be matching client premium payments and underwriter payments on the ledger, talking through issues in internal credit control meetings, sending regular statement chasers to insured's/brokers and resolving any queries, preparing & issuing broker commission statements, investigating & resolving anomalies with the assistance of other departments as required, raising and issuing deductibles, posting journals and validating banking details. Applicants must have previous hands on finance experience (e.g. IBA, credit control, reconciliations etc.) gained within an insurance business and be comfortable dealing with high volumes of transactions, posting journals and allocating cash. A practical understanding of debits and credits is required for this role.
