A lady in her 40s with learning difficulties living in Bridlington is looking for a female social activities support worker for 16 hours per week; more hours may be available if interested.
This lady needs encouragement and support with a healthy lifestyle. She exercises regularly, which includes walking, swimming, and going to the gym, and she requires support to do this. She also enjoys arts and crafts. This lady is looking for someone who can keep her motivated with encouragement and who has a friendly and patient nature. Support with personal care is needed at times.
It would be advantageous for applicants to have experience in working with adults who have learning disabilities.
Applicants must be flexible, honest, and reliable. It is essential that applicants are motivated and able to use their own initiative while supporting this lady.
A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post, with the cost to be met by the local authority.
