Ascent will continue to work towards maintaining our commitment to those with disabilities A day in the life of an Ascent Supply Chain Manager As Supply Chain Manager you will have the opportunity to develop new ways of working to standardise and optimise collaborative supply chain performance for Ascent’s services, working alongside talented Operations, Commercial, and Support & Services teams and with long-term, high-value strategic suppliers and partners. This is a senior ‘Head of Function’ role, working in a matrix management framework, that will define best-practice supply chain management principles and frameworks that support sustainable operational excellence through our services and facilitate scalability for further business growth. As the Supply Chain Manager you will be nominally based out of the Bristol Hub but have oversight and a key support function to our operational locations so would need to travel regularly as well as retaining flexibility to work from home (expected to spend approximately 2 days each week on-site). You will already have a strong background in delivering supply chain management services in a high value environment with long-term strategic suppliers. You will have a track-record of driving innovation and leading change through supply chains with demonstrable performance (operational and financial) improvements. You will have strong business management and leadership skills and the ability to influence, coach, build organisational core competencies, and ‘get things done’. And you will also: Be a ‘self-starter’ with ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively. Be a strong communicator with facilitation skills. Have a good level of ICT literacy. Have a good working knowledge of operations management principles and risk.
