If you are 18 or older, you can join Essex Outdoors as a Seasonal Instructor and have an amazing experience delivering outdoor activities for our diverse customers. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications.
A standard day at our residential centres begins at 8.30am and finishes around 5.30pm. During the season this may change slightly but you’ll receive time off in lieu of hours worked beyond those contracted.
Why work for Essex Outdoors?
* You will get paid to do what you love: sailing, powerboating, biking, climbing, archery, and more.
* You will get free accommodation at our residential centres (depending on location).
* You will get access to our in-house training programme and external courses.
* You will get the chance to work at one of our centres in a beautiful, rural part of Essex, each with its own unique features and activities.
* Generous Local Government Salary related pension scheme
* Access to hundreds of discounts and benefits through Essex Rewards
* Access to our health and wellbeing support platform with Vita Health Group
Centres:
Bradwell – Our coastal sailing and powerboat centre.
Danbury – A large centre set on a 70-acre site of beautiful countryside and woodlands.
Mersea – A large centre in a wonderful coastal setting with views across the Blackwater Estuary.
Harlow – A specialist climbing and paddle-sport centre.
Due to the rural location of some of our centres, public transport can be limited. Some of our centres may be able to offer the opportunity to stay on site. Please indicate on your application if this is something you would require. Otherwise please ensure you are happy and able to travel to your desired centre’s location daily.
As a seasonal worker you will be required to work between April and September. Both full time and part time hours are available and can be discussed further at interview.
How to apply?
If you would like to apply for this position you will need an up-to-date CV and a personal statement explaining your interest in the role with the following information:
* Availability - What is your earliest start date after 1st April 2025?
* Commitments - Please provide the dates of any commitments that mean you are not available to work between April and September 2025.
Applicants must be 18+ and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check prior to employment.
