The Role: Internal Business Development Manager
Gain New Business
Manage inbound sales inquiries and complete sales process from cold calling to contract negotiation. Expand customer base and ensure long-term partnerships. Liaise successfully with shipping lines, suppliers, carriers, and Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers.
Responsibilities:
1. Business Development: Win potential new clients through market research, networking, and cold calling.
2. Inside Sales: Act promptly to inbound sales inquiries via email, phone, or online channels.
3. Tenders and Bidding: Identify and respond to tenders, RFPs, and RFQs in the logistics sector.
4. Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
5. Build relationships with Suppliers, Shipping Lines, NVOCCs, and Carriers.
6. Negotiate competitive rates and terms.
Skills & Experience Required:
* 3+ years Experience working in logistics sales.
* Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation solutions.
* Experience liaising with suppliers, shipping lines, NVOCCs, and carriers, including negotiating terms, rates, and troubleshooting issues.
* Familiarity with shipping processes, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Proficient in CRM software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
