Are you ready to lead one of the UK's most exciting regeneration projects? The Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) is seeking an ambitious and skilled leader to drive the delivery of the transformative Ebbsfleet Central programme. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a flagship Garden City, delivering lasting impact and realising a bold vision for sustainable growth and placemaking.
As Head of Development – Ebbsfleet Central, you will lead on all aspects of this complex, high–profile project. Working at the heart of EDC, you will oversee the timely delivery of this transformative development, ensuring alignment with EDC's strategic objectives and robust financial management. With the outline business case for the first phase nearing completion, further design and then delivery of cGBP130 million of infrastructure work to come in the next few years you will step into a project on the cusp of significant progress–making this a truly exciting time to join.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the project strategy and managing a highly capable internal team, alongside a diverse range of consultants and external partners. This role demands a leader who can maintain strategic oversight whilst being engaged in the detail, ensuring programme risks are effectively managed and opportunities maximised.
Your expertise will guide the delivery of critical infrastructure, masterplanning, and planning applications, as well as strategic legal and commercial negotiations with partners, including developers, transport stakeholders, and government agencies.
We are looking for someone with substantial experience in leading complex, large–scale regeneration projects at all stages of the development lifecycle. You will have a strong track record in delivering mixed–use developments, managing multi–disciplinary teams, and driving projects to completion with efficiency and innovation. A background in property development, regeneration, or planning is essential, alongside a deep understanding of project management, stakeholder engagement, and financial control.
Joining EDC offers the rare opportunity to follow a project from inception to completion, bridging the public and private sectors while working on a nationally significant programme. If you are an exceptional leader with the ambition and expertise to deliver transformative development, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
