Hours: 40 hours per week, working various shifts Earlies, Lates or Nights, 5 days across Mon-Sun
Please note, following the commencement of your employment, you will have a chance to move onto a set duty on either the Early, Late or Night shift, these will be allocated based on seniority.

We are looking for Leave Reserves to cover the Traffic Office Administrator, Yard Marshall and Yard Control Operative duties at the Midlands Super Hub.
As a Traffic Office Administrator you will:
* Help maintain the quick, efficient & safe running of the Midlands Super Hub Transport Office
* Working with a variety of systems including the BAT, Isotrack Management System (vehicle tracking) and the FTA, the system used to record our drivers’ hours, is kept up to date and data correctly inputted daily in order to ensure that we comply with legislation.
* Issuing of vehicle keys and logbooks and ensuring digital tacho cards are downloaded in line with Royal Mail policy.
Debriefing all drivers with any unresolved issues to be passed onto shift manager.
* Vehicle allocation and vehicle defect monitoring, liaising with the vehicle workshop as necessary
* General office administration tasks as directed
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary
As a Yard Marshall you will: be responsible for safety in the yard, liaising with drivers, trailer checks and coordinating vehicle movements with the Vehicle Operating Centre and the Flow room. Your duties will include:
• Communicating efficiently with on and off site drivers and dealing with any problems they should encounter whilst in the yard or Transport office
• Ensure Health & Safety site rules and Safe Systems of Work are being adhered to
• Confirming and ensuring trailers and vehicles are parked at their correct destination
• Dealing with driver queries and problems
• Performing trailer park brake and speed checks
• Dealing with ad hoc customer queries in the transport yard
As a Yard Control Operative you will: be b ased in the Transport Office primarily computer based. Your duties will include:
* Working with a variety of systems including the BAT, Isotrack Management System (vehicle tracking) and C3 is kept up to date.
* Issuing the correct trailers to drivers
* Ensuring there are enough trailers in the yard to run the operation
* General office administration tasks as directed
* Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary
