Early Years Nursery Practitioner and Room Manager / Leader
Options for the successful candidate to work with any age group based on experience and preference, the room lead role would be working within our 2 year old room.
Level 2 or 3 qualified Nursery Early years practitioner:
Full or part time working 2,3,4 or 5 days per week.
We are currently recruiting for a Room leader and Nursery Practitioner for our beautiful nursery and preschool in the heart of Wimbledon with great transport links.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Early Years Practitioner:
- Level 2 or 3 qualified practitioners:
* Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children's needs.
* Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
* Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
* Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.
- Nursery Room Leader/Manager:
* The Room Manager must hold a full and relevant level 3 or above qualification in childcare
* Will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the 2 year old room.
* Will be caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment.
* Supervising staff
* Implementing new ideas and continually improve practice and support the management team in the nursery.
The ideal candidate will;
* Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
* Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
* Be qualified to NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent in childcare.(level 3 or higher for Lead roles)
* Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stages
We appreciate that it is important to get work life balance right and as such, we are happy to consider either full time (over 4 or 5 days) or Part time hours and salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
