Based in Sunderland, my client is a well-established Civil and Structural Design consultancy dedicated to innovative design and sustainable construction. They’re looking for a talented experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing team and contribute to a variety of exciting projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
As a Structural Engineer you will:
1. Develop structural designs for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Oversee projects from initial concept through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
3. Perform structural analysis using advanced software tools and provide technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
4. Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
5. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer role:
1. A degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 1 year experience in structural engineering, with a solid background in design and analysis of various structural systems.
3. Strong skills in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Tekla) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
4. Ability to provide innovative and practical solutions to engineering problems.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
6. A full UK driving license is required, as site visits will be part of the role.
