About the role
St John's Primary School and Nursery is a nurturing, inclusive and successful primary school and nursery in the heart of Kenilworth. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly effective level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our forward thinking and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity as we are looking to grow our Early Years team.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will need:
1. Experience working with children in EYFS and or Nursery
2. Hold a childcare qualification, preferably level 2
3. An excellent understanding of how children learn best in a happy and secure setting
4. The ability to form excellent relationships with parents, carers, staff and stakeholders
5. Knowledge and understanding of what makes an outstanding learning environment
6. A passion for excellence and share our vision
7. Be highly motivated and enthusiastic
8. Able to contribute to and work collaboratively as part of a team
9. Have excellent, up to date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
10. Attend to children’s personal needs including assisting children’s meal times

Contract Type: 2 days a week (12 hours)
Hours of Work: 8.30am until 3.30pm, term time only, plus inset days
Contract Term: Fixed Term Contract
Contract Length: Start date as soon as possible – 18th July 2025
Salary Range: Scale F
