Job Title: Technical Life Extension Lead
Contract Length: Until the end of 2025
Location: Aberdeen (Onshore)
Job Summary:
The Technical Life Extension Lead supports the Engineering & Asset Integrity Team, reporting to the Engineering Lead. They are responsible for managing the delivery TR548 Triton Technical Life Extension Project in line with the study execution plan, statement of requirements and management systems.
The role will direct the study according to the pre-determined phased approach, which defines the applicable degradation mechanisms, remanent service lives and actions/resources required to achieve forecast CoP scenarios. The primary deliverable for this project is a structured breakdown of the asset defining the timescale for intervention (overhaul, replace etc), associated CAPEX spend and offshore resources for each element of the asset hierarchy to achieve defined CoP dates. This shall be supported by robust engineering documentation and will be utilized for long-term business planning in conjunction with separate emissions reduction, production optimization and reserves adding projects.
The study is expected to be subcontracted in accordance with the approved study execution plan and statement of requirements. The role will be responsible for management of the subcontractor ensuring specified requirements are adhered to. Effective coordination of the subcontractor and internal engagement with business functions (e.g, Subsea, Engineering, Operations, Integrity, Management) will be essential.
Having a strong technical/analytical/engineering background, direct operator experience and strong interface management skills will be key to successful delivery of this project.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This role has the following responsibilities and outputs:
1. Manage delivery of assigned engineering studies and projects;
2. Update to project Statement of Requirements, as required as the project develops;
3. Delivery of work within assigned budgets, identification of cost savings, provision of accurate cost forecasting and input into business planning and budget process;
4. Input into appropriate financial authorisation and PSCM documentation to support assigned projects such as FMs, AFEs, CADs & SSJs;
5. Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of topsides engineering project delivery;
6. Review of project deliverables;
7. Coordinate discipline input into technical, safety and commercial reviews;
8. Adhere to and comply with the client’s relevant procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement;
9. Identify business risks and provide input to the business risk register and cumulative risk process;
10. Support the TA framework through technical assessment of identified risks;
11. Occasional attendance offshore, on site and at meetings (regional and global) as may be required;
12. Share and adopt best practices across the company and support and identify opportunities to enhance consistency where practicable;
13. Maintain an appreciation of emerging discipline technologies that could improve the asset performance.

Job Specific Skills and Knowledge:
1. Applicable engineering degree or equivalent;
2. Proven track record in project delivery and third-party management;
3. Experience of asset operations either in an onshore or offshore role;
4. Experience of EPC work including at concept, FEED and detailed design;
5. Membership of / Chartership by a relevant industry body is beneficial but not essential;
6. Awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
