The PMLD Teaching Assistant Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Bromley to work with young people with profound multi learning disabilities. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills. The PMLD Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
12. Work with class teachers to raise the learning of pupils
13. Promote pupil's independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
14. Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
15. Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons that promote play-based learning
16. Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
17. Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
18. Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment
19. Support with personal care when needed with other staff members
