Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust
Are you a compassionate individual looking to work in an outstanding rated Trust? Rowan Ward, based at Yeatman Community Hospital, is looking for a Health Care Assistant to join their experienced team.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team who provide excellent care to our 14-bedded stroke neurological patients and our end-of-life suite. Our End-of-Life Care achieved a nationally recognised platinum accreditation in the Gold Standard Framework award. Recently, there has been significant investment to develop Dorset stroke services including development within our stroke rehabilitation beds based on the Rowan team.
We offer a structured induction programme and further career development opportunities after a year of service to explore enrolling on the Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship or the student nurse associate programme, for those who wish to.
If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, we offer a fantastic development opportunity with a structured development plan to progress you from a band 2 to a band 3 Health Care Assistant upon successful completion.
The Health Care Assistant post is a full-time role; we would be flexible and accept part-time applications with a minimum of 24 hours. We have a variety of flexible family working patterns including long days and nights but are open to discussing individual requirements.
Weekend and public holidays at enhanced pay!
