We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Credit Controller to join our team in our London office, United Kingdom.
What you will be doing
As a Junior Credit Controller, your primary role is to maximize cash flow by ensuring timely billing of services and collection of debts while minimizing bad debts. Reporting to the Credit Control and Billing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Contacting Brokers, (Re)Insurers, and clients to ensure payment of outstanding invoices, using phone, email, and face-to-face meetings where necessary.
* Updating the cash forecast daily and providing weekly updates to the Credit Control and Billing Manager.
* Resolving queries by liaising with Project Managers and the accounts team.
* Posting and allocating cash receipts for various currencies.
* Keeping detailed notes on collections and escalations while addressing queries.
* Providing insights for month-end Aged Debt Reports and highlighting potential bad debt invoices.
* Reconciling refunds and providing required documentation for approval.
* Managing relationships with (Re)Insurers, Brokers, and clients to maintain strong business connections.
* Dealing with multi-currency transactions and exchange rates.
* Assisting overseas offices, audits, and month-end invoice processing as needed.

What we are looking for
We are seeking a confident, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with:
Qualifications:
* Essential: 3 to 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including Maths.
* Desirable: A qualification in bookkeeping or accounts.
Work Experience:
* Essential: 2 years of credit control experience.
* Desirable: Experience in collections within the Insurance Industry.
Technical Skills:
* Essential: Experience in credit control and using financial reporting systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Intermediate/Advanced Excel.
* Desirable: Advanced Excel skills.
Behavioral Skills and Attributes:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Confident, persistent, and goal-oriented.
* Flexibility to adapt to varying working hours.
