NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board
Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is recruiting a Commissioning Support Manager. The role will work as part of the Transformation Delivery Directorate and the wider Elective Care System. As a healthcare manager with experience in project management and planning, you will be working within a dynamic team responsible for planning and delivery of the ICB and system's planned care programme.
The role will involve working with senior commissioners, clinical colleagues, and stakeholders to deliver the transformation programme across planned care. The Planned Care programme covers a range of areas and specialties, and there will be an opportunity to develop skills, support delivery, and enable change for our local population.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with at least a year's post-graduate experience who would like to develop an understanding of commissioning NHS services.
Main duties of the job
As our Commissioning Support Manager you will:
1. Provide comprehensive support across the Transformation Delivery Team, with specific focus on the Elective Care and Cancer portfolios.
2. Support Senior Commissioners and wider team members by providing support to all aspects of programme(s) planning and delivery.
3. Provide key programme support to the Transformation Delivery Team to ensure that the portfolio of projects/tasks is planned, managed, and delivered effectively. The post holder will also be asked to lead specific work projects on behalf of the team as required.
About us
As an integrated care system of health and care partners, we have a shared vision to work better together to make Northamptonshire a place where people are active, confident, and empowered to take responsibility for good health and wellbeing, with quality integrated support and services available for them when they need help.
The NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board Five-Year Joint Forward Plan sets out how we are working to achieve this vision, linking directly with the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Partnership 'Live Your Best Life' Strategy, published earlier in 2023, and also with the Health and Wellbeing Board Strategies for North and West Northamptonshire.
This plan is just the start of a process of working together as health, care, and public sector organisations, and with the communities we serve, to achieve our shared vision. We will listen to our communities and ensure their voices are heard as we continue to develop the activity set out in our plan over the five-year plan period.
The successful applicant will be a part of the ICB Chief Operating Officer's (COO) portfolio. The Director of Integration is responsible for Elective care. Line Management will be provided by a Senior Commissioning Manager.
