Job Description:
A leading engineering firm in the Leatherhead area seeks a skilled Control System Package Engineer for an immediate 4-month project with potential for hybrid working.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in control systems design and a thorough understanding of international engineering codes and standards. The successful candidate will be adept at collaborating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, system integrators, and end users, to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, review, and approve control systems from package vendors, ensuring compatibility with plant control systems.
2. Create specifications for individual components and instruments, coordinating with suppliers to ensure functionality.
3. Review and approve technical drawings, validating them against instrumentation and control standards.
4. Identify and collaborate with third-party system integrators to support projects.
5. Assist in the design development of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems for various projects.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a Control System Engineer role or similar.
2. Knowledge of IEC and IEC standards.
3. Ability to design, review & approve control systems from package vendors.
In return, you'll receive an hourly rate up to £55/hr (Ltd - likely to be outside IR35) for an initial 4-month contract.
