Housing - Empowering Housing Solutions for All in Wiltshire
The Private Sector Housing Service ensures that every residence, be it social or privately owned, maintains a high standard, adheres to statutory conditions, is habitable, and is effectively managed. This includes private homes, properties owned by social landlords, those rented out by private landlords, residences classified as multiple occupations, and mobile homes.
As a Housing Conditions Officer, you will address inquiries and complaints, offer guidance to tenants, and engage in negotiations with landlords to address essential repairs or improvements. A crucial aspect of the role is the ability to proactively conduct inspections, demonstrating a self-driven approach and a sense of accountability.
We are looking for a candidate who possess a broad understanding of housing legislation, coupled with practical experience of inspecting properties for defects and in interacting with landlords, tenants, and the general public. Ideally, you should hold a qualification in housing, surveying, or environmental health.
