About the role: As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education, encouraging students to explore and appreciate the richness of English literature and language. You will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and personal growth. Responsibilities of the English Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to meet diverse learning needs. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them excel. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources. Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals. Uphold and follow school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety procedures. Requirements of the English Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT). Experience teaching English at the secondary level. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in students. Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
