Job Description
The Creative Social Lead at ASOS is a highly experienced and skilled leader with a keen eye for all things social. As a member of our Lead team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, building relationships and collaborating on a variety of outputs. You will be a key stakeholder in defining our creative social identity to connect with existing customers and engage a wider audience.
You will lead, mentor, and creatively inspire others to deliver the best assets in the industry. You will continually develop our offerings across multiple platforms and every touchpoint with our customers. Your role is one of inspiration, creativity, delivery, with a deep understanding of both the world of social and the customers we aim to connect with.
You are commercially and operationally aware of the balance between quality, delivery, and deadlines, and you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
The Role
1. Social Authority: To be continually up to date and ahead of the curve of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices while demonstrating flexibility to adapt strategies quickly in response to new developments.
2. Fashion Authority: You will use your expertise in social to put ASOS on the map as a fashion authority, utilising your experience to guide teams in the most relevant fashion-focused and engaging concepting.
3. Inspiration and Mentorship: As a self-sufficient leader you inspire the team to continually advance, and to be an aspirational figure within the leadership team and department.
4. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Creative Studios Leadership team to align goals and ambitions.
5. Social Strategy: Be accountable for guiding social content across a wide range of projects and briefs.
6. Delivery at Scale: Be accountable for the delivery of Creative Studios social output including campaign shoots.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Reporting directly to the Head of Studios, you will oversee and be accountable for the delivery of Creative Studios social output.
2. You will be proactive in conceptualising new and fresh content ideas for social platforms.
3. Working with Head Of Creative and Social Leadership to regularly review our content.
4. Leading ASOS Creative Studios in delivering trend-forward, high-impact fashion content.
5. Driving operational excellence as well as creative flair in all interactions.
6. Being a constructive conduit for feedback.
7. Constantly leading and mentoring core team and peers.
8. Aligning and collaborating with the Leads and Heads Of to ensure the overall success of everything we do.
Qualifications
1. Experience in creating and leading strategies specifically around brand identity, fashion authority, and market positioning.
2. Strong experience of leading creative for a mobile and social first brand.
3. A knowledge of the social landscape and proven success in reacting to trends.
4. Experience working with senior stakeholders.
5. Strong experience working with leading fashion brands.
6. Experience collaborating with Creative, Commercial and product design teams.
7. Strong experience in fashion, youth culture and lifestyle trends.
8. Understanding of multi-channel content, consumption, and distribution.
9. The ability to mentor and develop a team skillsets with different levels of experience.
10. Strong influencing skills, articulate and confident presenter.
11. Strong understanding of global and cultural fashion relevancy.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to rapid change.
