Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and administer Linux-based systems, with a focus on Red Hat Ecosystem (RHEL, RH Satellite, RH Insights).
2. Use Ansible for configuration management and automation tasks.
3. Develop and maintain Python scripts and other automation tools.
4. Manage and maintain highly available clusters of Linux-based systems.
5. Implement and oversee patching and reporting processes for Linux systems.
6. Apply systems security best practices to ensure robust and secure infrastructure.
7. Install and administer databases and database clusters (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Patroni).
8. Work with cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure.
9. Manage virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications (Required):
1. Extensive experience with Linux-based systems, ideally in the Red Hat Ecosystem.
2. Proficiency in configuration management tools, particularly Ansible.
3. Strong scripting skills in Python or similar languages.
4. Experience in creating and maintaining highly available system clusters.
5. Solid understanding of systems security best practices.
6. Work experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Patroni.
7. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure).
8. Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, etc.).
9. Proficiency in virtualization and containerization technologies.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications (Preferred):
1. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies (Terraform, OpenTF).
2. Work experience with CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment.
3. Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems (Zabbix, Elastic, SolarWinds, Graylog).
4. Knowledge of server configurations, including Apache, NGINX, and databases.
5. Understanding of CDNs, SSL, and proxies.
6. Experience with JIRA and Agile methodologies.
