In this rewarding role, you will manage a caseload of up to five students who have faced challenges in their educational journey. Your mission is to engage and inspire these young minds in their communities—whether at home, local facilities, or community spaces. By providing tailored academic support alongside essential pastoral care, you’ll help dismantle barriers to learning and pave the way for their successful return to formal education.
Qualifications:

2. Degree or equivalent, with Maths and English to at least Level 2.
3. Specialist teaching qualification in a chosen subject (desirable).
4. Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage student behaviour effectively and demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care in an alternative education setting.
5. Proven experience working collaboratively with parents, community organizations, and stakeholders to support students with diverse and challenging needs.
6. Understanding of equality of opportunity, safeguarding, child protection, and inclusion issues, particularly in alternative education settings that serve vulnerable populations.
7. Ability to quickly identify and address challenges faced by students, ensuring appropriate follow-up and support for their individual needs.
8. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, tailored to engage effectively with students, parents/carers, community members, and colleagues.
9. Experience teaching across the secondary age range, with a proven track record as a creative and adaptable teacher who inspires and motivates students. Familiarity with virtual learning environments is desirable.
