A young person is looking for a PA to support her to increase her confidence, communication skills, and independence and to access the community.
The young person enjoys day trips, going shopping, cooking, crafts, coffee shops, cinema and going for walks. The PA would encourage young person to look for new activities to help her to access these.
The young person enjoys day trips, going shopping, cooking, crafts, coffee shops, cinema and going for walks. The PA will also support with independence and life skills within home and the community e.g. clothes shopping, road safety, travel training, administration, attending appointments, cooking, cleaning, administration, using appliances, navigating directions, understanding instructions.
Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour
Hours: 9 hours per week.
For example, termtime these would typically be:
Tuesday evening (6-9)
Transport from College x 3 days (plus making tea / going to the shops)
Weekends
Overnight stays available on an ad-hoc basis.
Employer would like flexibility with hours, as hours are likely to change using half term holidays.
Essential Criteria: Well organised, good communicator, fun, patient, kind, reliable and supportive. Ability to be resourceful, confident and encouraging. Driver with access to own transport.
Desirable Criteria: Experience working with SEN / autism and sensory issues.
