CFO/Chief Financial Officer, strategic lead, hybrid with 3 days on site in Derby, Contract for 3 months. Rate £700-750pd Inside IR35
The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the ICB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is professionally accountable to the NHS England and NHS Improvement regional finance director.
Experience
1. Substantial board level leadership experience and/or system leadership experience within a regulatory or similar environment is essential.
2. Experience of managing highly sensitive situations with stakeholders.
3. Experience of managing relationships with the media and political stakeholders.
4. Experience of providing financial leadership, mentorship, and professional development at a very senior level with demonstrable outcomes.
5. Experience of leading highly complex and contentious transformational change at significant scale.
Knowledge
1. Extensive knowledge of the health, care and local government landscape and an understanding of the resourcing implications related to the social determinants of public health.
2. Current evidence and thinking on practices which reduce health inequality, improve patient access, safety and ensure organisations are Well Led.
3. Extensive knowledge of health and care financial planning and budgeting at a board and/or system level.
4. A detailed understanding of good governance and the difference between governance and management.

Qualifications Essential:
Qualified accountant with full membership and evidence of up-to-date continuing professional development.
Desirable:
Experience of utilising health economics experience in a relevant role/setting and/or a relevant qualification.
