Health, Safety and Environment Assurance and Incident Officer

Salary: Band 4I, circa £44,218 per annum, plus benefits
Part/Full Time: Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless there are legitimate operational / business reasons why this cannot be accommodated.
The Strategic Governance Unit is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Assurance and Incident Officer, to provide management reports to show the current status of TVP’s policies, procedures and activities against compliance and other performance goals. Through advisory, assurance, and incident investigation work, improve Force-wide compliance with policies, reduce HSE risk to our staff, visitors and the public, and reduce accidents and incidents.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide management reports on compliance and performance goals.
2. Improve compliance with health and safety policies.
3. Reduce HSE risk to staff, visitors, and the public.
4. Conduct incident investigations.
Qualifications:
1. NEBOSH Diploma or level 5 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
2. NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
3. IMEA Certificate in Environmental Management (PIEMA).
4. NEBOSH certificates in Construction Health and Safety and Fire Safety and Risk Management.
5. NEBOSH Certificate in Environment Management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to all levels of the organisation are essential. Along with the experience, confidence and credibility to communicate complex or specialist information to a non-specialist audience, facilitate workshops and deliver presentations.
