As a Senior Inventory Controller, you will perform independent resolution of inventory anomalies through root cause analysis and reconciliation by investigating physical inventory, transaction history, and bill of materials to implement fixes to process issues causing inventory discrepancies.
You will be responsible for completing physical control counts to improve overall inventory accuracy.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Perform control group counts to identify and fix root causes.
2. Lead cross-functional inventory projects to improve inventory accuracy.
3. Work with accounts department related to resolution of Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) and Goods Invoiced Not Received (GINR).
4. Conduct all functions of an inventory counter.
5. Investigate transaction history and liaise with PD/Engineering.
6. Support departmental goals to reach the plan by year end.
7. Conduct location/store audits and receipt counting as required.
8. Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
9. Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork & Sustainability.
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
1. A good level of literacy and numeracy skills (maths test will be required).
2. Good understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Material Planning, and Accounting principles/practices/systems.
3. Knowledge of Glovia (ERP system) transactions across all functions is highly desirable.
4. Highly self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail.
5. Ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of the organization and work within a team environment.
6. Computer literate on Microsoft Office applications.
7. In-depth knowledge of company procedures and operations.
8. Good product knowledge based on physical involvement with logistics materials movement and operations product assembly.
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
* Ability to read Engineering Drawings.
* Experience with Glovia systems.
