This position is suited to a candidate that is looking to further develop their skills within the industrial and low carbon energy sector. They will lead the Electrical Design Team to deliver outstanding service in the creation of electrical design packages to enable the successful installation, commissioning and operation of a wide range of low carbon energy technologies. Growing and developing your team, from graduate to senior level. Oversee and sign-off work within your team in collaboration with the Senior Design Engineers. Responsibility for creating detailed Electrical design packages for energy projects. Detailed design could include producing documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, High Voltage (typically up to 33kV) design, design of low voltage installations, cable calculations, panel schematics, block cable diagrams, fault level modeling, resilience scenarios, the description of operation. Managing the developing detailed engineering specifications to allow the tendering and procurement of key equipment and producing project specific installation specifications and work packages in order to obtain competitive quotations for the site installation works. Managing and maintaining the electrical section of our Technical Direction Energy Platform which contains a library of standard electrical designs, templates for requests for quotation and standard specifications for electrical items. Interacting and presenting to clients when required to demonstrate the capabilities of the team. Updating internal teams on project updates and deadlines. Participation in the HAZID & HAZOP processes. What we're looking for; Educated to degree level within Electrical Engineering or similar. Strong capabilities and experience in Design Management within energy installations at multiple facilities such as commercial, industrial, NHS, district heating, etc. Excellent knowledge of all relevant aspects of LV and HV.
