An excitingopportunity has arisenfor a Band 7 Service Manger to join theWestCallteam. This is a hybrid role Monday toFriday,office hours will bebased atWokinghamCommunity Hospital.
The post holder will have day to day operational responsibility for delivery and management of theWestcallOut of Hours GP service.
Inthis role you will work alongside the Urgent CareSeniorManagement team,OperationalLeads,FinanceManagers,and Performance andInformaticsColleagues. We are looking for an exceptional candidate with the ability to manage a varied and diverse work portfolio.

• To ensure the serviceis able toachieve financial, performance and operationalobjectivesensuring workforce accommodation and equipment resources are used optimally
• To support the Patient Care Pathway in the Service to ensure a good patient experience and efficient effective use of available resources within theWestcallservice.
• Tobe responsible forensuring business continuity is undertaken, planned, and monitored
• To manage theresourceforWestcallensuringthere isappropriate servicecover throughrotamanagement and contingency planning. To include analysis of the data to predict future demand
• Develop, review, andmaintainstandard operating procedures for the service to ensure there is a high-quality experience for people using the service
• Ensure the smooth and efficient running of theWestcallservice by:
• Being the senior point of contact for all operational issues for the service
• Dealing with and arranging general maintenance and upkeep
• Liaising with estates, site managers, landlords and other tenants

The “must haves” for this role:
1. At least 3 yearspreviousexperience of the line management of staff
1. Previousexperience in the use and collection of performance and activity data
1. Ability tomaintainstrong working relationships
1. Ability to adapt to unpredictable work pattern, in a bus environment with constant interruptions.
