Job Summary
The Resource Recovery Coordinator will excel in delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders while possessing a robust operational understanding. With a proven track record in people management, they will successfully implement and drive processes and practices within the Resource Recovery division of Techbuyer. The role involves formulating strategies to maintain smooth operational performance, directly engaging with customers and clients, and ensuring all compliance obligations are met.
Responsibilities
1. Working with and overseeing the day-to-day operation in the Resource Recovery department, including manual disassembly of equipment, extensive manual handling and recovery of parts and units for remarketing, repairing or donating.
2. Delegation of required daily tasks amongst department employees or support staff.
3. Maintaining a positive warehouse environment and cultivating proactive attitudes in the team.
4. Pushing the team to be the best versions of themselves & finding what drives them.
5. Responsible for assisting with staff development & maintaining training records.
6. Able to receive, track, and assign any work orders received into the department.
7. Completing relevant ‘Waste’ movement paperwork for both inbound and outbound, that may be required by law for submitting to the Environmental Agency.
8. Becomes the point of contact in the absence of the Resource Recovery Manager.
9. Liaising with the Team Leaders and Operations Managers to discuss performance-related issues and ideas for improvement or requesting support or assistance.
10. Consistently demonstrates a high standard of processing that sets the standard for the team to ensure targets are met.
11. Completes internal administrative tasks to ensure that records are kept up to date and in order.
12. The job holder is expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Techbuyer Quality Management System.
13. Ad hoc tasks may be assigned to the job holder that are not listed above, these may include working out of department and if required, off site.
Required Skills or Training
1. Significant experience in an operations/warehouse role, preferably in a leadership role.
2. A passion for people, processes, sustainable efforts and hard work.
3. A systematic, organised approach to working and leading.
4. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of people, from Senior Managers to warehouse staff, from customers to suppliers, professionalism must be maintained.
5. Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritisation and delegation.
6. The Resource Recovery Coordinator will be expected to demonstrate sustained commitment to pushing the business forward.
7. Desire to constantly improve, both themselves and the wider team. Maintaining the attitude of; ‘The aggregation of marginal gains leads to remarkable results’.
8. Extensive experience in working to strict deadlines, calmly whilst under pressure.
9. Attention to detail – you need to be able to convey strict operational guidelines as well as adhering to Environmental regulations and best practices.
10. Computer literacy and dynamic understanding of Microsoft Office is essential as well as experience working with in-house POS and WMS.
11. Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative.
12. Ability to communicate information clearly with other departments, who may not be directly involved with the operation.
13. Flexibility, understanding the importance of being available to assist in any area of the business where required.
14. Excellent knowledge of IT component parts and process and able to demonstrate a desire to learn.
