Well, what about the team?
The Maintenance & Facilities Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of Bally's facilities. This position supports the team by completing both general and technical maintenance tasks across the gaming floor, reception area, restrooms, and staff areas. A key responsibility of the Maintenance & Facilities Assistant is to actively follow all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. This ensures that maintenance work is carried out in full compliance with established standards and regulations.
Fundamentally, the Maintenance & Facilities Assistant must be adept at multitasking and assisting in the efficient execution of numerous daily activities. This requires a high level of organisation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Please note, we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide an exceptional gaming experience for our valued guests. This means that as a member of our team, you may be required to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
So, what will you be doing?
* Supporting the team in the upkeep of the building through completing tasks as and when required.
* Taking responsibility for supporting any items of maintenance requiring action from suppliers and supporting the suppliers in providing a positive service in a timely and efficient manner with little disruption to the business.
* Assisting with all relevant aspects relating to the welfare and gaming requirements of all external and internal customers. Ensuring all areas of the building are safe for employees and customers, assisting in compiling preventative maintenance schedules and overseeing all recycling and waste management activities.
* Providing duties such as repairs; basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical works; maintenance and construction; checking of fire fighting equipment; carrying out periodic checks on Fire alarms and emergency lighting, assisting with the distribution and storage of deliveries.
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance work as requested, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption to guests and members of the public.
* Ensuring the availability of all raw materials, tools, spare parts and other equipment for doing repair works. Assisting in the day-to-day activities of residential and commercial establishments.
* Ensuring proper billing and invoicing of third-party service provided.
* Interacting with third parties and internal departments to understand their requirements thoroughly.
And what are we looking for?
* Experience of working as a Handy Person or in a maintenance environment.
* Ability to build and maintain equipment, with a general understanding of plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
* Have sound understanding of using all types of repair tools, equipment and machinery.
* Possess HSE requirements.
* Be skilled in performing manual tasks associated with carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing.
* Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
* Ability to multitask effectively and organise own time to meet deadlines.
